Resources Development Institution (RDI), a charitable organization based in Jorhat, Assam, aims to promote digital literacy, technology awareness, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) among rural communities, underprivileged youth, women, farmers, and economically weaker sections of society.

In today's rapidly changing world, digital skills are increasingly important for education, employment, entrepreneurship, communication, and access to essential services. However, many rural communities face barriers such as limited access to computers, digital learning resources, practical training, and technology awareness.

Through this initiative, RDI seeks to bridge the digital divide by encouraging inclusive technology education and helping people develop the confidence and skills needed to participate in the digital economy.

Our Objectives

• Promote Digital Literacy: Introduce basic computer skills, internet usage, email, online communication, and essential digital services.

• Create AI Awareness: Explain artificial intelligence in simple, accessible language and demonstrate its potential applications in everyday life.

• Encourage Digital Entrepreneurship: Help aspiring entrepreneurs explore online business opportunities, digital marketing, and technology-based services.

• Promote Responsible Technology Use: Raise awareness about online safety, privacy, misinformation, cyber fraud prevention, and ethical AI usage.

Planned Activities

RDI aims to organize digital awareness sessions, practical workshops, community training programmes, and demonstrations based on local needs and available resources.

Potential activities include basic computer training, smartphone literacy, internet safety education, online service awareness, introductory AI demonstrations, digital content creation, and the use of technology for education and small businesses.
